Breidablikk Men's Sweater - Merino Wool

The Breidablikk is a lightweight, breathable merino wool sweater made for year-round versatility. Knitted in 100% skin-soft, itch-free merino wool, it has a slim fit and a quarter-zip mid-neck that makes it easy to regulate warmth and layer comfortably. Naturally temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking, it works equally well as a ski sweater, a hiking midlayer, and a comfortable layer for après-ski and everyday wear.

A refined plating technique combines two yarns to create a subtle two-toned surface with added depth and visual texture. The design is centered around Dale of Norway's iconic eight-petal rose, while tonal shifts between the upper and lower sections give the pattern a clean, graphic expression that feels both classic and contemporary.

TEC wool is valued for its exceptional softness and smooth drape, making it ideal for pieces where comfort and softness matter most. (Fiber diameter: 17.5 micron). Can be machine washed on a wool cycle.

In Norse mythology, Breidablikk is the home of Baldr, the son of Odin and Frigg. Known for his grace, beauty, and eloquence, Baldr kept the doors of Breidablikk eternally open, welcoming all who approached. The hall itself was described as a place of unparalleled beauty – always radiant and harmonious, untouched by fear or darkness.

Breidablikk is also the name of a modern, self-service mountain cabin in Stølsheimen, the mountain region southeast of Dale. Situated at an elevation of 1,160 meters (3,806 ft) in open highland terrain, the cabin is considered one of Norway’s most distinctive hiking lodges – known for its spectacular location and sweeping panoramic views.
